The 9 Days of Happiness

So what happened to my Christmas vacation? Well, I can consider this as the most memorable vacation I had since I started to work away from home.

December 24 – My flight was supposed to be at 11:35 in the morning but because of the delays it turned out to be at 1:30 in the afternoon. I arrived at around 3:00 PM at the city. I waited for my friends Ruth and Velle who I will be meeting to give them my gifts. I went home at 5:30 in the afternoon and arrived at around 7:00 in the evening. When I entered the house, kids who are my cousins and neighbors were dancing. They said, they prepared that dance for me. Aaaw. How thoughtful… The house was busy preparing for noche Buena when I arrived. Noche Buena was fun. The food, the videoke, the gift giving and everything that happened.

December 25 – I was planning to stay at home for the whole day but a friend from highschool suggested to have a meet up at 4:00 pm together with our other classmates also. We had that meet up at the plaza of the town for the convinience of everybody. We just had snacks and some chikas. I was able to go home at around 8:00 in the evening. (Well, sorry mom this do not happen often naman..)

December 26 – I watched an MMFF movie for the the first time together with my former officemates. We have planned this catching up thing weeks ago. So I’m so happy it really happened. I was not able to meet them during my last vacation so I was really into meeting them that time.

December 27 – I was just informed that our whole family was going to Negros Occidental two days before this day. Luckily I did not have plans for this day. We went to Campuestohan an inland resort in Negros and also at The Ruins. Though we just visited two places, but still it was an amazing bonding moment with the family.

December 28 – it was on the 28th when we went home from Negros. I had no one to meet up that day so I just stayed at home the whole day.

December 29 – I had a get together with college classmates. It was really fun. We had a videoke at Movie K, had some drinks at MO2 Annex and ate fresh cooked fish at the fishing port of iloilo at around 2:30 in the morning. Actually it was my first time there.. It was really fun! I hope that would not be the last.

December 30 – because we did not sleep the night before, I woke up at around 2:00 in the afternoon. I do not have plans for that day. I just wanted to sleep all day actually. But Mariel, a friend from highschool asked me if where am I and if I’m good for a roadtrip. Of course I am! It was already 4:30 in the afternoon when we met. We went to a new resort in town where we had snacks and went to a talabahan until 8:30 in the evening. Again, sorry mom. Going home late was not really my thing.. You know that. Haha

December 31 – it’s new year’s eve. I stayed at home the whole day and was busy preparing for the medya noche. I just noticed that fire crackers were not a big thing for this year. I mean, it was not that loud as compared to previous years.

January 1 – it’s the first day of the year! I was at home until lunch time but I decided to meet college buddies to bond a little more and tried to be complete but it did not happened but it’s okay. also, I met a friend to give my gift and went home a little late again. Haha

January 2 is may flight back to Manila that’s why its not included. Though it wasn’t a sad day at all. Still I am thankful that I arrived safe and sound.

So, that’s it. I think I could already use the line ‘back to reality’. Oh yeah. It’s time to do some stuff to make this year an amazing one.
