I was organizing my files on my laptop and then I saw this. I wrote this on the 27th day of ECQ last year.

“Day 27. Almost a month of being at home. Just went outside our door for a couple of times to take a picture of the sunset but never left the building for 27 days.

We are on a Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ). No one will be allowed to go out except for the reason of buying essentials like food.

There were nights that I had hard time on sleeping especially on the first 2 weeks of the quarantine. Watching videos of patients that are positive of the virus made me uneasy. I was anxious since there are cases that the signs of the virus can be experienced after two weeks. That’s why I stopped watching those videos and reading articles about it.

This quarantine also made me feel lonely. There were times that I felt alone. Overthinking for so many times.”

Those first months of lockdown really made me anxious but as time passes I’ve learned to live with it. I’ve somehow adjusted with the situation.

For 4 months then, I was just at home. Went out on my birthday as my gift to my self. Quarantine pass was not required anymore that time.

Been in a work from home set up for almost a year now. I must say, I still prefer working at the office. However, the good side of having work from home set up is that I don’t have to travel on a heavy traffic of EDSA everyday.

This pandemic has taught me so many things. I just hope that this will end soon so that everything will be back to normal.
